The Golden State Warriors

Wow! What about those Warriors? Up 3 - 1 on the #1 seed Dallas. Series isn't over though. Also Reggie Miller is quickly becoming a great analyst. He'll soon be the best on TV if he isn't already.

24 on tonight

Lack of posting as of late is for no other reason then me being lazy. I'll try to pick it up this week. Of course 24 will be on tonight and it should be a good episode. Jack has *shudders* gone rouge. Maybe I'll write up a recap after tonight.

24 tonight

I really liked tonights episode of 24. Some people over at the imdb boards are dissing it, but they diss almost everything these days. It was a transitional episode to be sure, those are necessary in a show with 24 episodes that connect in one season. But the writers did a fine job of keeping me entertained. Daniels in the WH makes me sick, but Jack going against orders is always fun. If your interested in reading some live blogging from the show and reading others comments then head over to blogs4bauer. Lot's of cool stuff is always going on over there.

Cue the gun control fanatics

Just as I predicted earlier the media is beginning to use the horrible tragedy at VT to launch a fresh assault on our right to bear arms. The first time today I heard the media begin this campaign was on a sports show of all places. On Pardon the Interruption co-host Tony Kornheiser, while talking about the slayings, talked about how scary it was that guns can be obtained so easily. His partner in crime Michael Wilbon agreed. ABC News and predictably MSNBC also trotted out the anti-gun rhetoric. The New York Times is towing the line as well.

The outcry is going to grow strong to limit our rights and demand tough gun control laws. We must be prepared to battle these idiots and protect our rights.

Virginia Tech Shooting

Another school shooting happened today, this time at a college campus. You can expect the media to be covering this story 24/7 with little let up. Now of course this is a horrible tragedy, just not something I'm that interested in. The biggest thing that will come out of this story is the Michael Moores' of the world will once again begin their drumbeat of ripping up the constitution and demanding that all guns be made illegal. Be made illegal to everybody but Moore's private bodyguards that is.

I wonder how much the media will look into what would have happened if the students were allowed to be armed, how much bloodshed could have been avoided? Over at Michelle Malkin's blog she's already asking the question. Will the MSM blow hards follow? Don't hold your breathe.

New ep. of 24 tonight

Don't forget to watch 24 tonight on Fox. With last weeks episode being the best of the season this season is really starting to pick up. Tonight Jack has to deal with the fact that the Chinese have Audrey and want something for her release. Those damn Chinese. Just one you think they're out of the picture they storm back onto the scene. It seems Jack has had just about enough of them though and plans to fight back. Should be interesting to see how it unfolds.

All Imus All The Time

I'm watching Meet The Press and they are having a hour long discussion on, you guessed it, Don Imus. I haven't watched all of it but at least Russert had the stones to say that if Imus gets back on Radio he will listen. Of course Russert prefaced that with saying something like "If he dedicates his life to racial equality". What Russert fails to realize is that the same people who started this "scandal" will never allow racial equality. If there is no racism then Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are out of business. That's why they go around creating racial strife where there is none. Indeed that is what their legacy will be, race hustlers.

Now I must admit, I was a big fan of Imus. His show was very informative in ways that a lot of people have forgotten in the last week. He studied the news like a hawk and was one of, if not the most, informed talk show host on T.V. Despite what some people like Michelle Malkin (who I tend to like) says, he was not a liberal. Yes most of his guests were liberals, but then again most of his guests were from the MSM so that is to be expected. Yes he supported Kerry, but with Bush as the other choice I won't hold that against him. In reality his show was no more liberal than that neocon lovefest Special Report with Brit Hume. And Imus even had on Pat Buchanan regularly, and it's always great to hear Pat on the current issues.

But having said all that, being a fan of Imus isn't why I don't think what he said is a big deal. I listened to the show that got him into trouble and I didn't even notice he said anything wrong. Why? Because nappy-headed hos is a phrase I've heard before and it never caused any trouble. I've heard my black friends use the phrase. I've heard it in Rap music. Just like the sports columnist Jayson Whitlock said, most of those girls from the basketball team are probably somewhere right now dancing to a rap song that is saying the same thing Imus said, if not much worse. This was nothing more then Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson creating more controversy. And like Eric Bishoff says, Controversy creates Cash.
